Sarcoidosis Starts in the Past💭

 

 

Sarcoidosis, starts somewhere and that somewhere was my eye.

 

 

I woke up and couldn't see--

 

 

Yes, I woke up totally blind in 1 eye and I hadn’t had any noticeable symptoms or anything… - That something was wrong.

 

I didn't have Pink eye....

 

 

🖇️Sarcoidosis extends far beyond its visible symptoms💭

Pun intended-- It was Sarcoidosis-

 

- Ocular Sarcoidosis -

I remember, asking a friend to drive me to the ER and later too my —medical eye doctor appointment to see an ophthalmologist—
My friend didn’t believe me that I couldn’t see

…

Remember, me not seeing at all in one eye was out of the blue for me too….

Hence,
My Mantra💭

 

-The Face Of Sarcoidosis...

But, most people are distracted by the Face Of Sarcoidosis causing senearios of — Delay and Help in reverse…

I remember my medical eye dr writing on a piece of paper, while he said - You have one of theses 5 disorders… The 1st four were Autoimmune disorders and the 5th was Sarcoidosis which is an inflammatory disorder, followed by him telling me to google all 5 for more information. The reasoning is that no doctor has time to go into detail within a 15 minute office visit; and I understand that — Hence, the Journey began, when he said -
Of the 5 I think you have sarcoidosis.

I digress-
Make it make sense, I couldn’t see—

I wanted to know what was wrong with me…
They couldn’t see that I couldn’t see
But,
Mean while, when I say mean while I-mean for years, people were telling me— I look fine and even that — I don’t look like nothing was wrong with me: even in the face of vision lost that was not guaranteed to return!

The craziness got crazier and lasted years because — What does sarcoidosis look like! #Anyways

The short version, is it took 10+ years for me to be officially —diagnosed with sarcoidosis blah blah blah….

Who knew—

Off the rip— unbelievably…

This was the beginning, looking well, but was I— ergo., For more* info go to my website www.about-sarcoidosis.com thoughts of how some people at that time, treated me (and by that I mean everyone except my eye doctor) —When you don’t look sick, or heck., #SickSick -Pre a diagnosis of —sarcoidosis… cause it took a minute! Before, I was diagnosed with —sarcoidosis and officially diagnosed with —sarcoidosis.

Irregardless, to what version of sarcoidosis you may have., ergo acute, chronic or subacute variants or silent sarcoidosis (common in ocular sarcoidosis) and or w/other comorbidities if you will or —autoimmune disorders along with sarcoidosis…
▪️▪️▪️Sarcoidosis
Is capable of being active in various parts of the body, and even multiple parts of the body without displaying noticeable symptoms...
